  • Keep care of your swimwear

    Published the 26.07.2019

The most important thing to do with our swimsuits is to wash it immediately after use with fresh shower's water.

Then you can wash it better when the day at the beach-pool is over. It is crucial to eliminate the chemicals that damage its delicate fibers, including salt water, sweat, tanning products, sand, chlorine and detergents in case of not enough rinse.

Do not roll it up or leave it moist in bag. This allows bacteria to reproduce. The sunscreen can discolor the costume therefore, during the application, we have to avoid contact with the swimset.

We should alternate our swuimsuites we should avoid using the same swimsuite more than once in 24 hours, as this is the time taken from the swimsuite to return to its original form. An alternation of swimsuites will prevent it from widening or losing elasticity.

We need to be careful where we sit. For example, the roughness of the non-slip edges of the swimming pools acts on our swimwear, deteriorating it.

                                                                                      How wash it

Leave the swimsuite soaking for about ten minutes with mild liquid detergent or Marseille soap. Gently massage it to remove soap and dirt, rinse until the water is clean. Wring out  gently. It is advisable to add a glass of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar every 2 liters of water: it help to fix the color e preserves the elasticity. Every 5 or 6 washes we recommend washing in washing machine with delicate-cold program. In that case insert the swimsuite in a washing net bag or one pillowcase to minimize the risk of ruining the swimsuite.Machine washing eliminates effectively creams, salt and chlorine but the centrifuge should be reduced to minimum of laps.

Hang out to dry the swimsuite upside down preferably in a shade zone, as direct sunlight can bleed it. You can later hang it on a hanger. If you use clothespins, these must be applied on the dowel or on an inconspicuous area to avoid unsightly marks. The ideal is to let them dry in horizontal position. It must also NEVER come into contact with iron.

Remove the sunscreen sprinkle the stain with baking soda and leave rest for an hour or two and then wash gently. In Alternatively, apply white vinegar before washing.

Remove the sand rinsing repeatedly taking care to dilate the fabric pulling it gently with your hands from the sides, favoring the leakage of retained sand. Then proceed with the routine washing.

At the end of the season, DO NOT store it using nylon bags to prevent deterioration elasticity.
